Elena Non Governmental Organization “Elena NGO” started as an informal initiative on the 15th of September 1991 to design and make dresses, train young girls who have not been opportune to have a place in post-primary educational institution, for one reason or the other. The initiative was later transformed to an NGO and In the year 2000, in line with Law No 90/053 of 19th December 1990. The initiative was registered as a non-governmental organization (NGO).
Support For Women and Young Girls
At our own capacity we continue to show support for women and young African girls in every possible way.
In Our bid to empower the woman and show her she can exceed her societal set standards, we support the Young Girl in;
Agriculture, Livelihood (Income Generating activities), Community Health, Learning, Child, women Development & Social Protection, Food Security, Nutrition and Incomes, Community Peace Building, Reconciliation & Cohesion, Evidence Building and many more

ELENA NGO DONATES TO INTERNALLY DISPLACED CHILDREN
In The Crisis Hit Anglophone Regions of Cameroon
On 24th of December 2018, ELENA NGO with the support of CROOSROADS International HONG
KONG we donated assorted dressing items (shoes, dresses and bags ) to Internally Displaced
Children from different communities. Most of the children assisted came from the Muslim
minority group in Mamfe
Since the escalation of the Anglophone crisis in October 2016 there has been a growing number
of Internally displaced persons with children inclusive, from towns to villages and vice-versa.
Displaced persons from villages to towns are among the most vulnerable people.
